Putting together a continuity site seems to almost as easy as 1, 2, 17! I’m almost set up but I should have anticipated the additional costs that I would have to pay to set things up. I had to pay an extra $40 for added software to integrate with my CMS (content management system) and I’ll have to pay another $99 to integrate my shopping cart with my membership software (AHHH!) but once it’s done…! Oh once it’s done it’ll be a beautiful thing!

I just need that last piece of integration software, camtasia, and a decent microphone and I should be ready to rock. I have a friend who might go in on Camtasia with me since it’s $300 and he doesn’t have a computer right now… but once I get those things I should be all set to start uploading content, the finding / creating of which I will be doing in the meantime while I wait for some cash to come in to pay for this stuff. That reminds me, I need to sign up for Total Access Club soon too…

As a side note I’d also like to get Mass Control 2.0 and Wholesale Traffic System…

Anyway, so that’s what’s up at the moment with the Continuity – to keep me motivated, I just keep thinking about the numbers:
If I had 1000 people at $27 a month… *smile* or if it grew to 1500 or 2000 that’d be… *bigger smile* and then I can talk to so-and-so about adding such-and-such content which links back to their site… and I can also send out affiliate offers to the members and those that are just on my list for products that will really help them… *smile with dollar signs*….. this type of thinking far outweighs the ~$1000 I’ve spent in learning / setting up my site so far

Today I did some key word research using Market Samurai. I think I found a decent approach for my internet marketing company site. I’m in the process of reworking the entire site. During my first 100 days, I set up ScepterMarketing.com as an internet marketing training site that attempted to push some affiliate services. However, a few weeks ago, I got my first internet based client and my first check for $500! So I will be changing up this site to reflect all of the services that I offer which are internet marketing, website consulting, website design / development, and website management.

I have another service that I want to offer that I think is somewhat unique but is a great value. And best of all, it is a form of continuity – which is something that I’m currently studying via Ryan Deiss’s Continuity Blueprint that I got off ebay for $230 (sorry Ryan!). This content is great and it should be, after all it is a $2,000 product. I plan on signing up for Deiss’s Total Access Club soon which is a $97/mo. site that teaches the latest in internet marketing.

Shiny Penny Syndrome

I have a condition where I lose interest in ideas very quickly. Generally it takes me less than a month to come up with a newer, better, faster, idea than the one that I had been working on. So then I start on that idea. And then the cycle repeats!

So today I asked myself a question that I’m hoping will prove to be a wise one. I realized that there are people making money online that know less about internet marketing than I do. The difference is that I keep on learning and they took ACTION. So today I asked myself this question, “If I could no longer access all of the internet marketing information that I have, what would I do to get the ball rolling on my ideas?”

So I started taking action. I started doing keyword research and writing a new blog posts. I started doing. Now, it just so happens that I have 4 hours a day of data entry where I have nothing else to do but listen to podcasts, marketing videos, and home study courses but in the off hours, it’ll be all action!

Plus there’s good news! Ryan Deiss just explained a pretty simple way to get 300 extra members a month into a continuity site! I just need to save up for Camtasia and AMember and I should be all set to go!

Goals before March are:
- Write up sales letter type copy for the 5 areas of ScepterMarketing.com
- Write up a blog post targeting a “low hanging fruit”, “long tail” keyword and syndicate it
- Connect with the two potential clients that fell into my lap a few weeks ago (if things work out I’ll have enough money for Camtasia, AMember, a non-trial version of Market Samurai, and the first few months of 1ShoppingCart and a merchant account! + some!)
- Set up a blog 80% of the way on SmallBusinessTrainings.com.

Let’s get ‘er done! I gotta lot of living to do before I die and I ain’t got time to waste!

I’m out

To be honest, my last go at internet marketing didn’t go so well. There is a lot involved with internet marketing but I’m grasping more and more. I haven’t stopped learning.

And here I am again, back at it, I’ll keep doing these 100 Day Challenges until I make some dog-gone money with this stuff!

I have three ideas that I will be working on concurrently over the year, so here’s what I’m thinking for the next 100 days…

Day 83: The New Deal

So my 100 Day Challenge is coming to a close – only 2 weeks or so left. Unfortunately, I haven’t hit any of my goals. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’m going to hit any of them. However, it is as ColdPlay sings, “Everything’s not lost.”

By the end of this year I will have launched several websites including

ScepterMarketing.com – Teaching the very, very basics of internet marketing, setting up a webpage, basic customization and content creation, installing plug-ins in WordPress, setting up an e-mail marketing campaign, and a few other things.

TheMatthewHall.com – My personal blog:  At the end of my 100 days, I will redirect all of my onlinessuccessin100days.com pages to TheMatthewHall.com – the new personal blog of Matthew Hall – entrepreneur, internet marketer, and overall cool guy.

ExpertMLMNetwork.com – My network marketing “nerve center” as was taught me by Mike Dillard to use internet marketing to grow a huge multi-level marketing team.

TheMarketBlend.com – A membership site for entrepreneurs that will provide premium content that will help them start a business, grow their business, diversify into new businesses, and network with each other.

All that to say, I’m excited about the possibilities that are coming up for this next year. I believe that I will make a million dollars by the time I am 25. No joke. I’ll have my websites up by the end of my 100 days, and it’s pretty much a done deal at that point. I’ll just continue to learn how to write copy, do SEO, and I’ll implement some paid strategies and other traffic strategies as well. The best thing about this is that my learning will be amplified three times over (unless I start even more sites). When I learn a new concept, I won’t just have one site to apply it to, but 3 or more so the results should be triple.

So it turns out that my 100 day journey will turn out to be more of a 100 day launch sequence, but that’s alright with me. Now back to work…

Day 70 – Final Countdown

So I’ve learned a lot over the last 2½ months or so about internet marketing. I haven’t made as much progress as I had hoped though, at least I don’t think so. I just listened to a partial interview today about a guy who made $70k in 7 days time. So there is still time!

I have a few solid ideas that I’m working on. Firstly, ScepterMarketing.com is up and running. I just need to make more posts, get my social networking on, and write up some more e-mails for my opt-in que and that site is pretty much set to go. It will be what this site was supposed to be – it will take the things I’m learning in internet marketing and send them out my subscribers as I learn it. My job is to stay a few steps ahead of them! :) My goal with the site is to get make money through affiliate links (hostgator, godaddy, and aweber) plus eventually meet and get to know eben pagan, ryan deiss, and frank kerns who seem to be 3 of the top guys. Maybe I’ll even become an affiliate of theirs.

I’ve also stumbled onto Ryan Deiss’s Continuity business model which is what I’m working on now. It’s kind of circular to teach internet marketing based only off of an internet marketing related website, so I’m going to launch out a few different sites based on his models:

TheMarketBlend.com. Originally this was going to be a site for network marketers to learn how to use the internet in building their teams and selling products. I’ve scrapped that (since I’m still learning that myself) and I’m going to set up a site for entrepreneurs. Eventually the site will be comprised of 4 components: Starting a business, growing a business, diversification into different businesses/investments, and networking. It will be a membership site as taught by Ryan Deiss.

Health Site: While I don’t have a name for this one yet, it will be a site that offers information on fitness, nutrition, and overall health. It will be an information distribution based site where members will learn about the latest and greatest health products, fitness routines, etc. that actually work and make them healthier.

These two niches are already HUGE so I figured I can carve out a piece for myself out of both. The goal, as it has been for awhile, is to be a millionaire by 25 – 13 months.

All that to say – even if I don’t make my $25k in the next 30 days, I am implementing plans that will make up for it over the next year.

So yeah, back to work

-Matt

Scepter Marketing Launched

So today I finally put up my first internet marketing website. It’s at ScepterMarketing.com. It’s not perfect but it’s up and I think that is the most important part. As the saying goes, “you can’t steer a ship in harbor.”

I have a lot of things I still need to do. I need to write more articles, do some keyword research, find some more products to sell, etc. All in due time. Actually, I need it all now. Christmas is coming up and I’d like to make this a good one.

I’m planning on launching two other sites by the first of the year. One for targeting business minded people – either those looking to start a business, grow another stream of income, expand their current business, or switch businesses altogether; the other for targeting the millions of people out there interested in the health/wellness industry.

My goals are to provide valuable information on these sites for a monthly fee. Information on them is to include interviews with experts, videos, articles, reports, and of course a newsletter. I’m basically following Ryan Deiss’s Continuity Blueprint techniques, even though I didn’t drop $997 on the course. He gives away enough in his sales letters and pre-product videos for me to get started.

The biggest thing for me in this is to actually do it. I have the resources available – interviewees, beginner knowledge, a few products/resources, and the websites – now I just need to focus, buckle down, and get ‘er done.

I have a few other things on the back burner but the 3 sites I just mentioned will be the bread and butter. I should hopefully be in a solid position by this time next year…

Well… time to get back to work.

I’d say “until tomorrow” but I probably won’t write tomorrow and you’re probably not actually reading this so… until whenever! :)

Day 48 – Start Your Engines

Today I should get my new computer in the mail. I’m working the plan outlined in my last post for Day 40. I can feel it – I’m about to break through. I just need to write a few more articles, a few posts, and create a few videos. I should be up and running by Friday & ready to start advertising and posting my articles across article marketing sites.

I also got Eben Pagan’s DVD set on Print Persuasion to help me learn how to write great sales copy for PPC ads, headlines, sales letters, etc.

So yeah… here we go – Gentlemen, start your engines! I’ll have helped 300 people and made $25k+ by Jan 1! Get ‘er done!

In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been updating this blog less. I’ve moved it on the back burner since I feel its purpose has changed. I’m still learning internet marketing. I’m still working on my 100 Day challenge. I’m just not really trying to market this site yet. I think I may work on it after I get done with it.

The reason is simple. I don’t feel that I can really market what I haven’t done yet.

So where’s my focus now?…

During the first week I mentioned that I was planning on starting a company that would provide marketing services to small businesses who wanted to take advantage of the internet for their businesses. A week or two after that I wrote that the whole thing was a no-go because I broke things off with my design team. Well here’s an update…

The game is back on! Scepter Marketing’s site should be up by Day 50 ready to start teaching the small business world how to market their stuff online. I’ll start with a simple newsletter that gives tips that I’m learning on my own journey + I’ll send them to affiliate sites that they will need for hosting services. I figure that if I can get teach 300 people to set up their own basic web-marketing system I should be able to hit my goal of $25,000 which includes ~$1700 of passive income by the end of the year. That amount includes just having those people buy a domain, hosting, and autoresponder. It’s easy to see bigger dollar signs when I think about moving into selling consulting services or my own products, or even getting commissions from referrals to web designers. So that’s the plan today, who knows about tomorrow.

BTW Creed’s new CD Full Circle is pretty sweet.

Until Tomorrow,

-Matt

Who’s on the move you might ask? Me! Last night was great and I feel like I’m making some serious progress towards my goals. I set up yet another blog last night to function as somewhat of a squeeze page between those people that would like to buy my products and the corporate website that I’m allowed to have for my MLM company. I also went to a meeting last night for my company. If you know anything about MLM companies you should be familiar with their meetings! Anyway, I stayed for only half of it but it was inspiring and informational, plus I got some product to try for myself and some information to listen to.

Last night I also spoke with my friend and soon to be business partner Jason about the idea that we’ve been working on together. He had another great idea of how to implement some things. We may end up trying to go to an event in November to really figure out where to take this thing – if we can gather up the cash that is. And because of that, I need to get to doing some real work…

BTW… I’m realizing that internet marketing, if you do it yourself, is a whole heck of a lot of writing. Writing blog posts, sales letters, ads, comments, web content, and e-mail responses it seems that about 80% of internet marketing is writing and 20% maybe is actually doing something like creating a product, planning, or whatever. Just an interesting observation.

Anyway, Until Tomorrow,

-Matt

Day 34 Cont…

Today I wrote 4 blog posts! I feel like I’m finally breaking through to something substantial! I wrote a review to post on this site which I will use to help draw traffic to this site and my build my image of a competent internet marketer. I also wrote another post for my other blog that is targeting network marketers which is to ultimately promote my network marketing company. I wrote a theological oriented post on my facebook too. And lastly, I updated my journey with Day 34 and Day 34 Continued. Anyway, I’m proud of myself.

I’d say 7-10 days is a great goal to have published 5 articles or so for each of my two blogs that I can then start sending to sites like hubpages, squidoo, ezinearticles, etc. for SEO purposes. The engines of the rocket are started…
